My name is Kathy Duppins-Smallwood I have been married for 26 years to Douglas Smallwood, and from our union we have 1 child Gabrielle Smallwood. We currently reside in New Windsor, living in this small quaint town for 26 years. I am the 2nd child of 4 born to Virginia and Preston Duppins, living in Carroll County most of my life. I have been employed by Penguin Random House for over 39 years. Having many responsibilities during my tenor there. Most recently I work under the umbrella of logistic services where I am a wave planner.

I am a lifelong member of Strawbridge UMC in New Windsor, Maryland where Ambassador Blango Ross is the Shepherd. The call on my life started way before I wanted to acknowledge it. I ran for such a long time, however, there comes a time when we must do what God has for us to do. I have held many leadership roles within the church each part preparing me and training me for what God has planned for my life. My favorite scripture is from the book of Ecclesiates 3:1-8 and it states,

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace"

God has an appointed time for everything and regardless of what we want or plans we make Gods plan cannot be altered.
